Hello to all of
our Ministry Support Team!
The last few
months have been a whirlwind, but one filled with many blessings from God! Let's see....where to begin?
We Moved!
Yes, praise the Lord, we have moved! We are no longer in our tiny apartment with
mold and an oven to small for my pans.We were blessed to find a much nicer apartment in town. We now
have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! We have a kitchen that is bigger than
a
hallway. And we have no mold!
Hello! Thank you for your prayers for Mike as he leads a mission trip this week in Washington DC. Below is a link where you can see the video blogs for Mike's trip as well as others all over the world!

Hello to our dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
Yes, it is us! We
have not fallen off the face of the earth! We have been completely engulfed by work lately and we are so sorry for
not communicating with you better. Please, please forgive us and keep reading to hear all that God is
doing!

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year vacation in Washington with Sarah's parents. We enjoyed a white Christmas, lots of relaxation, games, reading, and shopping. Mike and Jon had an adventurous day of skiing, too! Sarah and Susan enjoyed all the funny stories at the end of the day. J When we reentered the real world again, we hit the ground running. Many changes have taken place in the last month – some good, some challenging.

Who Are We?(All scripture from the NIV)
As we wind down the year we wanted to take the time to reflect a bit on the season. One of the big things that came out of our staff conference was the continued realization of exactly who we/you are. If we were asked to tell a group of people who we are, many of us would answer with husband or wife or father or mother. Perhaps we would talk about our hobbies or give our job title. We associate our identity with what we do, where we work, or where we fit in social circles. If you are a Christian, these are, at best, mere shadows of who you really are in Christ. At worst, being too wrapped up in the peripherals can lead to pride when things are going well or be used to keep you down when things aren't as good.

On the Road with Mike and Sarah
Volume 1; Issue 3
November 26, 2008
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (NIV)
2 Corinthians 5:17
Many friends and family are facing trying times, financially, physically, and spiritually. Praise God that His mercies are new every day! We pray that God will teach you, grow you, and bless you. We pray you will continually find newness in Christ both today and throughout this season!
Hurricane Ike
Ike and its ensuing destruction might not have been the same level as that of Hurricane Katrina but to the people affected, they are exactly the same. We were given the opportunity to spend 2 weeks in the Galveston area just after the storm hit. We worked to set up lodging and ministry for volunteer groups. There is a great deal of work to be done, but more than that...
It has been quite a busy few weeks for us. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support! We spent last week in the Washington D.C area. Mike spent the week meeting with potential ministry partners and trying to find lodging accommodations for the groups that will be there this summer. He had a successful week and was able to get a lot set up for the summer ministry in DC. I spent the week doing my normal job from "home" – Uncle Ted's house. It was so great for us to be able to visit with him and get caught up. We had a wonderful time! We also were able to spend Saturday in D.C. together doing the tourist thing. It really was amazing to see so much of our nation's history. My favorite was getting to see the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights displayed at the National Archives. If you haven't been before - you should go! Here are a few pics...

Well, it has been quite a while since our last newsletter. We believe we have appropriately named it, though. We have been on the road a great deal since we began this adventure!
At the time of our last newsletter we were at the jumping off point with Adventures in Missions. It was April and we were beginning to raise support and prepare for a summer in New Orleans. We traveled to Marion, Virginia, Mobile, AL, and Montgomery, AL sharing at our home churches. We do want to thank all of you who allowed us to share with you what God has been doing in us and the work He has assigned to us. Your prayers and monetary support have been such a blessing to us!
So, with about 2 months notice, we packed up all our things into a storage unit, found someone to take over our apartment lease, and headed to New Orleans at the end of May. We had an AMAZING summer of ministry...
I cannot believe it has been 2 months since I last wrote! We have not fallen off the face of the earth...we have been on the move, though. After finishing up in New Orleans, we headed to Gainesville, GA. We had a bit of a run in on our way, though. This is what it looked liked...
