Hello All!
Thank you so much for your prayers, emails, and phone calls!  God has been good.  Mike is doing well.  He was able to call tonight and chat for a little while - which I LOVED!

So, here are a few updates from Haiti!

It has been a good week of ministry with the team this week.  They have been able to pass out hygiene care packages, and put tarps over people's homes to help keep the rain out.  The rainy season has started and Mike said there has been some very heavy downpours.  He said a lot of people are still not sleeping in their homes, either because they can't or because they are scared.  One of the men of the mission team this week is a Firefighter/EMT, so he and Mike were able to do some wound care in a nearby tent city and also a little work at an orphanage.  Tonight they did a walking worship service and ended at a village where Mike and the team were able to share testimonies and share God's Word.

This team leaves in the morning and a new team comes in on Sunday.  So, the staff only has about 24 hours to rest between groups.  During this 24 hours, the staff will be moving camp to a new, more permanent house.  So, there actually won't be a lot of rest.

I asked how the weather was and what the area is like.  Mike said that it is always hot and wet, nothing ever completely dries out.  He said that no one looks forward to going to bed at night because they just lay in dampness and are sweaty again by morning.  He said the the town reminds him of a combination of many places he's been.  Roads like (some worse than) Mexico.  Little villages like Romania.  Crumbled buildings - some held up better than others.

Please pray that God would give the staff quality rest in the short time they have and that they would be refreshed mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Also please pray for the vehicles they have in Haiti.  AIM has one van still being held in customs.  One van was impounded yesterday while parked at the airport, even though it was parked legally.  One vehicle was having mechanical problems earlier in the week.  So, please pray safety and protection over the vehicles, the staff, and team as they travel daily.

Thank you again for all your prayers!  May God bless you!
