Well, I've told you a little about what we're doing here, but not much about life.  Mike and I are living in a duplex (Phyllis' house).  We are in the upstairs, which is still a work in progress, but it is livable.  We were on temporary power here for the 1st week or so.  That meant we had enough power to run the A/C (praise God!) and a few lights here or there.  We didn't have any power in the bathroom, kitchen, or bedroom - so we got creative with extension cords. J

We got the electricity connected last Monday and were very excited about that!  We still don't have hot water.  Our shower quit working for a few days last week - but we got it working again.  After that, I was praising God for cold showers!! J  I had to laugh at myself the other day - I stuck my hand in the shower stream to test the temperature of the water before I got in - I guess I thought it was supposed to warm up?!?! J

We have been working very long hours the last 2 weeks - putting in 12 to 16 hours most every day.  We were able to get caught up on sleep a little this weekend and even had a couple hours this afternoon to rest - yeah!!!

Please pray for us and our staff:

·         That we get quality sleep

·         Health - that our bodies don't get run down

·         That we are able to protect our Jesus time and not try to run on our own strength

·         Safety as we travel around NOLA and serve in different communities

·         That we listen to God and hear His voice above all others
